Staff from the Fire and Human Resources Departments have collaborated to launch the 2024 firefighter recruitment process. Applications are being accepted at NationalTestingNetwork.com through September 13. The testing process will conclude with the 2025-2027 Entry Level Firefighter Eligibility List, which is scheduled to be approved by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in February 2025.
In addition to traditional recruitment strategies, the Fire Department is offering an Adult Fire Explorers program to increase the diversity of qualified applicants. Fire and HR staff will also host a virtual Recruitment Information Meeting through Zoom on Tuesday, July 9, at 5:30 PM Central Time.
