Champaign Fire Department Issues Building Permits for High-Value Projects

The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has recently released information regarding building permits issued for projects with significant construction values. The permits were granted for two projects, each valued at over $250,000.

At 1826 Glenn Park, a permit was issued for a project with a construction value of $361,000 on March 28, 2024. This project involves alterations for a dispensary. Another permit was issued for 711 S Wright St, with a construction value of $696,433 for an alteration project related to a restaurant, dated March 29, 2024.

The total construction value of all the permits issued by the Building Safety Division in 2024 is reported to be $30,896,649.

These permits were issued with the aim of ensuring that construction projects in the city adhere to safety regulations and standards.
