WASHINGTON - Congresswoman Mary Miller (R-IL) has announced her opposition to the $1.2 trillion omnibus spending bill that is set for a vote in the House today. In a statement, Miller expressed her reasons for voting against the bill, citing concerns about immigration policies and national security.
"I will vote no on the $1.2 trillion omnibus because it funds the NGOs that are trafficking illegal immigrants into our country, and it allows Joe Biden to keep using the 'CBP One App' to fly illegal aliens directly into our communities and 'parole' them," stated Miller. She further highlighted instances where the Biden administration's immigration policies have led to concerning outcomes, including the case of a Haitian man assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
In addition to immigration issues, Miller raised objections to various allocations within the omnibus bill. According to an unnamed source, the bill includes funding for organizations such as the World Health Organization, the new FBI Headquarters, as well as research on gun control policy by the CDC and NIH. Furthermore, taxpayer dollars are earmarked for centers performing abortions and transgender organizations advocating for the chemical castration of minor children.
The $1.2 trillion omnibus spending bill has thus become a point of contention in Congress, with differing perspectives on how taxpayer funds should be allocated across various sectors.
