On Friday, February 16, former Huntington Beach High School standout Kelly Ryono’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, lost 8-7 in their NCAA Division I game against the Kansas Jayhawks.

The game took place in Leesburg, Florida. This was their first matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, February 23 at 10:30 a.m. in Cathedral City, California against California Golden Bears.
