Stark Excavating has announced a lane closure and traffic shift on Neil Street between White Street and Springfield Avenue. The closure is part of the ongoing work for the South Downtown Sanitary Sewer Project. According to Stark Excavating, "Two-way traffic will be kept open on this section of Neil Street using a lane shift to have traffic run both north and south on the southbound side of Neil Street. Traffic will be directed through the lane shift using signage and barricades."
The lane closure and traffic shift are scheduled to commence on Friday, March 22, 2024, and are anticipated to last for several weeks. Despite the construction activities, businesses in the area will remain open. However, it is important to note that the progress of the work is weather-dependent and may experience delays in case of inclement weather.
Stark Excavating also mentioned that additional lane and/or road closures may be implemented as the project progresses through its phases. Residents and commuters are advised to stay informed about any further announcements regarding the construction activities.
