There were 2,247 Black students enrolled in Vermilion County school districts in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that Black students made up 20.1% of the 11,178 students in Vermilion County during the 2021-22 school year. They were the second most represented ethnicity.

Among the 12 districts in Vermilion County, Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 2,170 students.
