Of the many ethnicities represented in Champaign County district's, white was the most prevalent ethnicity among Champaign County students in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 24,501 students attending Champaign County district schools, 48.9% were white. African American students were the second largest ethnicity, making up 25.2% of Champaign County's districts students.
