City of Paxton Zoning and Planning Commission met March 23

Here are the minutes provided by the commission: 

The Zoning and Planning Commission meeting was held on Thursday, March 23rd, 2023 at 7pm in the City Council Champers at City Hall.

Chairman Breymeyer called the meeting to order at 7:05pm.

Roll call showed the following members in attendance:

Breymeyer, Sample, White, and Drushel.

Chairman Breymeyer stated that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss rezoning of properties.

In addition to the above properties. The rezoning of 108 W. State Street was also discussed. The current owners of 108 W. State Street are planning to turn the building into a concert venue. Sample made a motion to recommend to the City Council the rezoning of 108 W. State Street from a B-1 to a B-3. Drushel seconded the motion. Roll call: ayes- Breymeyer, Sample. White, and Drushel. All ayes, motion carried.

Sample made a motion to recommend to the City Council the rezoning of 252 W. Ottawa from R-1 (Residential) to R-3 (Residential). Drushel seconded the motion. Roll call: ayes- Breymeyer, Sample. White, and Drushel. All ayes, motion carried.

Sample made a motion to recommend to the City Council the rezoning of

230 E. Holmes from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

247 E. Holmes from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

249 E. Holmes from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

355 E. Holmes from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

203 N. Vermillion from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

234 N. Vermillion from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

200 N. Union from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

201 N. Union from M-1 (Manufacturing) to R-3 (Residential)

304 N. Union from R-2 (Residential) to R-3 (Residential)

306 N. Union from R-2 (Residential) to R-3 (residential) Drushel seconded the motion.

Roll Call: ayes - Breymeyer, Sample, White, and Drushel. All ayes, motion carried.

Sample motioned to adjourn. Drushel seconded the motion. Voice vote, motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:19pm.
