In a Nov 24 Facebook post, Rep. Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) thanked First-Light USA for a donation of First Light T-Max LE flashlights to the Piatt County Sheriff’s patrol division.

“I would like to thank First-Light USA for their generous donation of several First Light T-Max LE flashlights to the Piatt County Sheriff’s patrol division,” he wrote.

According to the First-Light USA website, the T-MAX LE flashlight is made from aerospace-grade aluminum with white-light tactical strobe, flashing white/red/blue safety beacon, and a red+green secondary color mix. It is designed for use on an officer's duty belt.

On Nov. 22, the Piatt County Sheriff's Office shared their own thank you post on Facebook: "The Piatt County Sheriff’s Office would like to take a moment to thank First-Light USA for their very generous donation of several First Light T-Max LE flashlights to our patrol division. A quality source of light is extremely important to our deputies while working out in the field and we are very thankful to First-Light USA for putting these lights in the hands of our deputies and in the hands of first responders across the country. Thank you!"

First-Light USA posted their own Facebook post about the donation: "At First-Light USA, we’re always thankful for the folks that keep us safe every day, and since it’s that time of year, we reached out to some of our law enforcement here in FLUSA Country to express our gratitude. As a small gesture of our appreciation, we were able to outfit the entire Piatt County Sheriff's Office with our locally built lights designed specifically for LEOs. Each member of the department received a T-MAX LE to add to their setup, and we’ll be joining them for some training soon, as well. Special thanks to Sheriff Mark Vogelzang and Sgt. Mark Olsen for their hospitality on our visit. We hope the new lights will be useful tools in helping keep you safer on the job! Built in the USA. DM us for Military, LEO, and First Responder discounts.”
