The second half of 2021: Home prices in Monticello fell

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Monticello fell by $10,600 while total sales decreased by 6.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 75 homes sold, with a median sale price of $159,900 - a 6.2% decrease over the $170,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 80 homes sold in Monticello in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Monticello for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,749, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
