Report: Rantoul School District spent $14,620 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rantoul Township High School District 193 was up 12.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $12,948 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,620 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 774 to 784 students over the same period.

Rantoul's spending in 2019-20 was 0.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
