Rantoul City School District 137 issued the following announcement on Apr. 2.
We have become aware that a student at JW Eater Junior High School has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The last time the COVID-19 positive student was in the school setting while possibly contagious was Tuesday, March 29, 2021. Parents of any students suspected of close contact have been contacted and instructed to not return to school for the period of time the nurse determines. Due to social distancing protocol in place, the classroom will remain open. The purpose of this letter is to keep all families informed
