Ke'Shawn Vaughn, who played at Illini for two years before transferring to Vanderbilt, will be a familiar face on the field at today's Super Bowl game today in Tampa.

A running back, Vaughn played for the Fighting Illini from 2015 to 2016.

Super Bowl LV will see the defending NFL champions Kansas City Chiefs playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The Chiefs recorded an NFL-best 14–2 record in 2020 under eighth-year head coach Andy Reid while the Buccaneers, with 20-year veteran quarterback Tom Brady, finished the 2020 season with an 11–5 record under second-year head coach Bruce Arians.
