1. The Highway Department has been working on some drainage work that has been on the books for a long time. We have done what we can for now. The water is a bit too high at the moment and the ground is too soft so we could not finish but the work that we have accomplished should alleviate any flooding concerns for the residents who have had those issues in the past. Once the weather dries up we will be able to resume our work.
Supervisor Lenhard: Where is this at?
Richard Vargo: It will be east of Vroom Road near Chambers. Noelle M. Burley, Town Clerk
1. We are still busy collecting taxes. First quarter is over, full payments were due so things are definitely slowing down. We are making sure all the receipts are going out now.
2. We have been busy doing marriage licenses, everyone is getting married and a lot of passports.
Daniel G. Schum, Town Attorney
1. There is a resolution to hold a public hearing on Introductory Local Law #3-2020 and that is the Local Law that proposes to add a daycare or a nursery school to two commercial districts. This was at the request initially of a parcel on Union Street that wants to put in a daycare on 31 but it seems to be a reasonable proposal. We will see what the public says.
2. I had a foil request that the Building Department did, a rather extensive foil request concerning accessory buildings. I gave both Noelle and the Building Department some guidance in terms of how to respond to that because it was a fairly substantial request.
3. I reviewed what they call an End User agreement on behalf of the Recreation Department. This is the pre-employment screening company. The company that we have used has changed hands and there is a new company with a new agreement. I reviewed it with her and gave her my comments.
4. We did collect a partial judgement as a result of a code violation. Those funds went into the Finance Department this week.
5. Dealt with a Storm water Inspection charge on a subdivision that is almost complete. We had some resistance from one of the developments to pay some fees that we incurred reviewing their storm water maintenance reports.
