LaPlace home prices rise in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in LaPlace rose by $40,000 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,000 - a 200% increase over the $20,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were five homes sold in LaPlace in 2018.

The median sales tax in LaPlace for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $1,106, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for 2019.
