PROCLAMATION

SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION WEEK

WHEREAS, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has declared the week of October 21 – October 25, 2019 to be School Board Recognition Week; and

WHEREAS, the Ogden Town Board would also like to pay tribute to the Spencerport Central School Board, the Churchville-Chili School Board and the Brockport Central School Board members who set the direction and policy for their schools and their dedication to the children in this area; and

WHEREAS, the Ogden Town Board ask that citizens in the area join them in demonstrating their gratitude to these dedicated individuals.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Ogden does hereby declare the week of October 21 – October 25, 2019 to be School Board Recognition Week and does recognize the dedication of school board members in the Spencerport Central School District, Churchville-Chili Central School District and Brockport Central School District to the children in this area.

WHEREAS, there is a need for limited part-time help in the

Parks and Recreation Department;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Town Board of the Town of Ogden does hereby approve hiring Terell Huntley-Wright as a limited part-time Recreation Attendant effective October 1, 2019 at a rate of $11.10/hour.

WHEREAS, Valerie Collins, Nutrition Center Coordinator, hereby recommends the appointment of Mackenzie Furchill as a volunteer intern.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Ogden does hereby approve the appointment of Mackenzie Furchill as a volunteer intern at the Senior Center, September 16, 2019 through December 9, 2019.

Resolution #244-10.9.19

WHEREAS, the Supervisor of the Town of Ogden, on September 23, 2019, duly filled the tentative budget of said Town for the Fiscal year beginning January 1, 2020 with the Town Clerk of said Town; and

WHEREAS, the Town Clerk of the Town of Ogden, duly presented said tentative budget to the Town Board at as special meeting held on October 9, 2019 at which time such tentative budget was considered, discussed and reviewed;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that said tentative budget is hereby revised as follows: (NONE), and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that as so revised and modified, the said tentative budget is hereby approved as and shall become the preliminary budget of the Town of Ogden for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2020; and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that said preliminary budget shall be filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Ogden, and said Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to reproduce copies of same for public distribution, and be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk shall give due legal notice of a public hearing upon such preliminary budget, which public hearing shall be held on the 23rd day of October, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ogden Community Center, 269 Ogden Center Road, Spencerport, New York and at which hearing all interested persons shall be heard concerning the same.

Resolution #245-10.9.19

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to sign an agreement between the Town of Ogden and Solara Concepts with offices at 24 Kramer Street, Rochester, NY 14623 to consult the archiving, reset and if needed update the access database for salt usage according to the Snow & Ice contract. This agreement is effective on October 1, 2019 and will remain in effected until it is revoked.
