City of Gibson issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.
The City of Gibson would like to notify it's residents that a city-wide hydrant flushing will begin on October 13th at Midnight, and will continue for approximately two weeks.
The City plans to work hard and efficiently to continue flushing through out the scheduled two weeks, making their way across the city, starting at the northwest side of town and moving northeast, and will hopefully conclude on October 25, 2019. This process is done twice a year, and often stirs up rusty water at times. Attached below is a flyer regarding important information regarding your drinking water and water consumption during this time; The flyer can also be found at City Hall if you wish, and also at gibsoncityillinois.com. If you have any questions or concerns about the flushing. please call City Hall at 217-784-5872.
