Georgetown home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Georgetown rose by $9,500 while total sales increased by 54.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 37 homes sold, with a median sale price of $46,500 - a 25.7% increase over the $37,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Georgetown in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Georgetown for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $987, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
