Champaign home prices fall in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Champaign fell by $450 while total sales increased by 15.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were 132 homes sold, with a median sale price of $133,500 - a 0.3% decrease over the $133,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 114 homes sold in Champaign in March 2016.

The median sales tax in Champaign for 2017 was $3,362. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,040. This marks an increase of 10.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.5%.
