Report: Bismarck Henning spent $8,735 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Bismarck Henning Community Unit School District 1 is down 13.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $10,087 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,735 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 865 to 599.

Bismarck Henning's spending in 2017-18 was 34.5 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
