Report: Deland-Weldon spent $13,338 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Deland-Weldon Community Unit School District 57 is up 13.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Piatt County school district spent $11,764 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,338 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 219 to 202.

Deland-Weldon's spending in 2017-18 was the same as the state average of $13,337.
