Report: Danville spent $12,027 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 is up 13.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $10,560 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,027 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6140 to 5631.

Danville's spending in 2017-18 was 9.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
