Report: Monticello spent $10,165 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Monticello Community Unit School District 25 is up 15.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Piatt County school district spent $8,807 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,165 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1606 to 1623.

Monticello's spending in 2017-18 was 23.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
