Report: Oakwood spent $9,429 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Oakwood Community Unit School District 76 is down 9.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $10,400 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,429 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1019 to 993.

Oakwood's spending in 2017-18 was 29.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
