Report: Armstrong-Ellis spent $19,015 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Armstrong-Ellis Community School District 61 is up 38.5 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $13,730 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,015 in 2017-18.

The district's enrollment remained unchanged over the same period, with 73 students.

Armstrong-Ellis's spending in 2017-18 was 42.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
