Report: Rossville Alvin spent $8,773 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rossville Alvin Community Unit School District 7 is up 12.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $7,814 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,773 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 279 to 304.

Rossville Alvin's spending in 2017-18 was 34.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
