Rantoul Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
This is a great program but it occurred to me that many of you don't use computers and don't own one.
If you stop at the RACC office ( beginning January 2, 2019 as I am on vacation) and ask for me , AND you have a valid photo ID I will look with you and see if you have unclaimed funds and help you get the money claimed and to you.
As Mr. Frerichs says in the article it is wiser to have that money in your hands and being spent in our local businesses than have it sitting in a bank in Springfield. That is economic and community development at it's finest.
