RANTOUL CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT 137: The RACC Christmas Parade and Santa’s Workshop is November 30.

Christmasparade

Rantoul City School District 137 issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.

The Parade route will stay the same as previous year’s Christmas Parade but the lineup/ marshalling/staging area will be the four streets in a square directly between Mitchell Ct and Riley Auto. Gibbs Dr borders on the west, and Twin lakes Dr borders on the east. ( Please see attached map )

The map of the staging area (yellow) and parade route (blue) for Friday 11/30/18 is available on their website (tech issues right now getting it on our FB post).

Parade lineup will begin at 5 15 and the parade will step off at 6 PM on November 30 as originally planned. The parade will pause at Santa’s Workshop at 120 E. Sangamon in Downtown Rantoul ( AKA The RACC Office ) where Santa will disembark and the rest of the parade will proceed to the Roger’s Parking lot. All participants in the parade are encouraged to return to Santa’s Workshop and participate in the festivities which will include music, laughter, visits and pictures with Santa, Reading with Mrs. Claus and multitudes of Good Will !!

We are accepting monetary donations for crafts, activities and supplies and donations of cookies or treats for the Workshop and if you would like to participate in the parade or volunteering as a Santa’s Helper in the workshop please let me know. Everything at the workshop and entry in the parade is free of charge and personnel photos are encouraged !
