St. Joseph - Ogden Chsd 305 students suspended 26 times in a single school year

St. Joseph - Ogden Chsd 305 reported 26 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 26 students during the year. That equates to 5.6 percent of the 468 students enrolled.

Of the 12 in-school suspensions, all of whom were high schoolers.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 12 incidents. For nine incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.

Of the 14 out-of-school suspensions, all of whom were high schoolers.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes seven incidents. There were seven incidents of unspecified reasons. For nine incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
