DANVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: Daily Digest

Tickets

Danville High School issued the following announcement on May 22.

STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Free tickets are available in the Athletic office to the Danville Dans game on Tuesday, June 5.

Girl’s locker room clean out is Friday May 18th and Monday May 21. On May 22 everything will be put in lost and found. Everything must be cleaned out no later than Monday May 21.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, the hall lockers will be cleaned out for the summer. If you have items in your locker, please take them home before that date. Any items left in the lockers will be put on a cart in the Main hallway as abandoned property, open for the taking by anyone. Anything left after that will be thrown away.

Student Locks – Students returning to DHS for the 2018-2019 school year need to take their locks from their lockers ON THE DAY of designated “locker clean out” next week. DO NOT LEAVE LOCKS ON THE LOCKERS!!!!! Those locks must be returned to the DHS Cashier at the start of school in exchange for a new lock combination. Students wanting a locker next school year but have no lock to return to the Cashier, will have to pay $5.00 to receive their lock combination. Seniors may take their locks with them if they wish. They have paid for them and are entitled to keep them.

STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL: Each year a group of students are chosen from around the state to be student advisors to the Illinois State Board of Education. This group of students have the opportunity to see the State Board’s policymakers in action and work with them to provide student perspectives and concerns on the state’s education policies. Students come together a handful of times throughout the year and work remotely on a research project that is presented to the Board. Applications are now available, and due by May 25. Please see Mrs. Norton to get an application and guidelines today!
