Report: Bismarck Henning spent $9,511 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Bismarck Henning Community Unit School District 1 is up 1 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $9,379 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,511 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 884 to 935.

Bismarck Henning's spending in 2016-17 was 27 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
