Report: Danville spent $11,705 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $11,331 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,705 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6208 to 5912.

Danville's spending in 2016-17 was 10 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
