Report: Rossville Alvin spent $8,614 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Rossville Alvin Community Unit School District 7 is up 18 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Vermilion County school district spent $7,300 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,614 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 296 to 327.

Rossville Alvin's spending in 2016-17 was 34 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
