Report: Rantoul spent $12,694 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Rantoul Township High School District 193 is down 2 percent from five years ago, according to a Chambana Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Champaign County school district spent $12,897 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,694 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 754 to 790.

Rantoul's spending in 2016-17 was 2 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
