The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce will honor the recipients of the 2018 ATHENA Award and the 2018 ATHENA Young Professional Award at a Feb. 15 luncheon.
The ATHENA Award recognizes men and women who endeavor to reach the highest levels of professional accomplishment including actively guiding or mentoring women to become leaders, excelling in their chosen professions by demonstrating creativity and initiative and contributing their time and energy on improving the quality of life for those in their communities, a chamber release said.
The ATHENA Young Professional Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated leadership by serving as a role model for young women and strives to achieve the highest levels of professional and personal success, the release said.
Recipients will be honored at the luncheon at noon Feb. 15 sponsored by the chamber and Spherion Staffing Services.
