Hammond FPD responds to six fires in 2016

Hammond Fire Protection District responded to eight calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in Hammond included six fires - one structure fire and five other fires.

The department also received two false calls.
