Champaign County Racial Justice Task Force Police Practices Subcommittee met April 13.

VI. Meeting with Police Training Institute
a. Dr. Michael Schlosser, Director
Dr. Scholsser gave a presentation that introduced the subcommittee to the Police Training Institute. He covered the history of the PTI, who attends PTI, the coursework, and some of the research projects PTI is involved in. His presentation was very informative and helpful for the subcommittee. He spoke specifically about community policing and cultural awareness training.
