City of Champaign Township Board of Trustees met March 7.

Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Feinen at 7:00 p.m.

Approval of Minutes: Board Member Faraci, seconded by Board Member La Due, moved to approve the following minutes:
February 7, 2017 Regular Board Meeting
A Voice vote was taken on the motion to approve the minutes; all voted yes. Motion carried.
Correspondence: None
Approval of Summary of Checks Written - All Funds, January 2017: January showed the total for the Town Fund was $42,720.72; General Assistance was $9,295.61; IMRF was $4,018.12; and the Social Security Fund was $570.14. Total expenditures for the month of January 2017 were $56,604.59. Board Member Faraci, seconded by Board Member La Due, moved to accept and place on file the summary of checks. A Voice Vote was taken; all voted yes. Motion carried.
Annual Town Meeting Agenda: Supervisor Quarnstrom noted the Annual Meeting is set by statute, will be held on the same date as the Regular Monthly meeting of April 11, 2017, and that nothing has been added to the Annual Meeting agenda this year. Board Member Faraci, seconded by Board Member La Due, moved to approve and place on file the annual Town Meeting agenda. A voice vote was taken; all voted yes.
State of the Township Report:
Supervisor Quarnstrom noted the report provides an opportunity to highlight major activities and accomplishments of the Township over the past four years; and to look into the future. He provided a brief overview of the following:
•What the Township Does
•Township Assessor Responsibilities
•Accomplishments Years 1 - 4
•General Assistance
•Other Accomplishments
•Future Goals

Town Board and Township Supervisor's Comment:
Various Board Members expressed thanks and appreciation for the work efforts of the Township Supervisor, Assessor, and their staff, and looking forward to future endeavors noting the Power Point reflects fiscal responsibility, maintaining the core mission of the Township, and ability of the Township to reach out to other agencies/organizations to address issues.
Next Meeting: Mayor Feinen noted the next meeting will be the Annual Town Meeting and the Regular Township Meeting of April 11, 2017. Supervisor Quarnstrom noted both meetings are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., but the Annual Town Meeting Will be conducted first.
Adjournment: Board Member Faraci, seconded by Board Member La Due, moved to adjourn. A Voice vote was taken on the motion to adjourn; all voted yes. Motion carried.
