The Urbana Human Relations Commission met March 9 to discuss several new business items and to hear committee reports.
Meeting announcements included the commission placing an advertisement in the Urbana News-Gazette’s Black History Month supplement in February and the registration of two members for the upcoming Citizens’ Police Academy.
The Urbana Human Relations Commission advises and consults with the mayor and city council on matters involving racial, religious or ethnic prejudice or discrimination and recommends action to accomplish its purpose.
