Champaign receives 10 applications for open council spot

Each applicant's application is available for public review online.

Ten Champaign residents have applied for the open District 4 city council seat, hoping to fill an opening created when council member Marci Dodds moved out of the area.

The applicants are Amanda Bloomfield, Jared Fritz, Don Gerard, Lisa Gundersen, Michael Markstahler, Kimberley Nystrom, Joe Petry, Mary Shultz, Benjamin Daniel Smith and Greg Stock.

Each applicant's application is available for public review online at ci.champaign.il.us/councilci.champaign.il.us/council.

The council will review the applications during a special session Tuesday and make a final decision by April 5.
