The Mahomet Tree Commission met Wednesday at the Mahomet Administration Office to discuss the village's progress addressing the Emerald Ash Borer.
The beetle was first discovered in North America in 2002 and has since become a major threat to the ash trees throughout the northern Midwest.
The commission was also expected to discuss the village's tree survey and approve previous meeting minutes.
