The Urbana City Council will consider resolutions advancing a proposed road construction project on North Lincoln Avenue during its meeting tonight.
The resolutions would allow federal officials to collaborate with the Illinois Department of Transportation on the project, and also authorize the improvements in general.
The council will also review a request to designate the Stephen Henson House at 611 W. Elm St. a historic landmark, and consider repealing the age limit for non-elected city officials. The current ordinance requires city employees to retire when they reach age 70.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 400 S. Vine St.
