The village of Mahomet Board of Trustees discussed two community-development items dealing with land at 509 West St. at its special meeting Nov. 17.
The board first discussed an ordinance to change the zoning classification for the 15,800-square-foot piece of land from Residential Suburban (RS) to General Industrial (I-2). It also looked at a resolution for the conditional use of a communication tower on the same spot of land.
In addition to that, the board considered the hiring of Kyle Welborn as a full-time laborer in the Water/Wastewater Department.
