The Rantoul Village Board of Zoning Appeals will consider an open space variance for Kooshtard Property LLC at its regular meeting Jan 4.
The company has filed an application to build concrete barriers that would reduce the open-space ratio of the lot at 301 S. Murray Road to 3.3 percent. Current zoning regulations require at least 10 percent of a General Commercial District property to be kept in open space.
The board will also consider a request from Stanley Rhodes and Judith Bowman-Rhodes for setbacks that would allow them to build a detached garage at 521 E. Grove Ave.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. in the Village Board Room at the Rantoul Municipal Building.
