The Rantoul Board of Trustees will hold all meetings and study sessions according to the parameters of a new code passed by the trustees Dec 8.
The ordinance says that all regular meetings, special meetings and study sessions will begin at 6 p.m. in the Village Board Room at the Rantoul Municipal Building. Regular meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, except when that Tuesday is a holiday, in which case the meeting will be held the next day.
Study sessions will be held on the first Tuesday of the month to help trustees and village departments prepare an agenda for the regular meeting.
Special meetings will be held as needed to address specific issues, and can only be called by the village president or a trustee.
The ordinance is effective immediately.
