The village of Sidney Board of Trustees held a public meeting Sept. 8 to hear feedback on the proposed annexation and rezoning of property purchased by Crop Production Services (CPS).
The company wants to add 4.29 acres of industrial property to its current site for a new office and scales, Kyle Ash of CPS said. The company would also remove its old office, which would make more room for moving equipment.
CPS purchased the property from JMJ Pennell LLC.
CPS will cover all costs of the expansion, though there was some question about the effects of the rezoning, which would merge the original CPS property and the annexed property into one tax parcel that the village would not collect any taxes on, attorney Paul Hendren said.
