The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has released a list of building permits issued for projects valued at $250,000 or more. The permits cover both residential and commercial developments in the city.
According to the division, several new single-family dwellings have been approved on Hogan Drive, each with an estimated construction value of $285,000. A permit was also issued for a new single-family home at 1404 Wyndemere Point Drive, valued at $1,143,000. Additionally, interior renovations are planned for 918 W Armory Drive with a construction value of $672,900.
A significant commercial project is moving forward at 502 S Fifth Street. This site received a permit for a new multi-family dwelling with an estimated value of $4,720,000.
For the year 2025, the total construction value in Champaign reached $239,659,123.
