The City of Champaign has released the initial totals for its 2025 Fall Yard Waste Collection program. According to city officials, after completing the first round of collections in both designated areas, a total of 31,680 bags of yard waste have been gathered.
The collection began in the Blue Zone from October 13 to October 17, resulting in 16,605 bags collected. The Orange Zone followed from October 20 to October 24, with crews collecting an additional 15,075 bags.
The city’s fall yard waste collection will continue through December 12, 2025. Residents can find more information about the program and upcoming collection dates on the City of Champaign’s website.
