Employees from the Champaign Police Department, Fire Department, and Equity & Engagement Department participated in several trunk-or-treat events with local community groups between October 24 and October 28. The events aimed to provide a safe environment for children during the Halloween season while distributing candy and sharing safety tips. City departments also handed out promotional items, and the police department awarded special prizes to children dressed as junior officers.

The final trunk-or-treat event of the season is scheduled for Friday, October 31, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Y on the Fly, located at 2422 W. Springfield Avenue in Champaign. After this event, citywide trick-or-treating hours will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday night.
