The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division has released information on several building permits issued for projects with estimated construction values of $250,000 or more. The permits were issued between October 10 and October 16, 2025.
Among the commercial projects, two permits were granted for properties at 2403 Fields South Dr. and 2401 Fields South Dr., each with a construction value of $1.2 million. The first is listed as a shell building, while the second will be used as a chiropractic office. Another commercial permit was issued for 2102 N. Prospect Dr., valued at $399,391, for electric vehicle charging stations. A permit for an interior remodel at 1 Main St., Unit 280, was also issued with a value of $323,026.
On the residential side, four permits were issued for new single-family dwellings on Hogan Dr.: 4506 Hogan Dr. ($335,000), 4504 Hogan Dr. ($300,000), 4502 Hogan Dr. ($285,000), and 4508 Hogan Dr. ($285,000).
The total year-end construction value for Champaign in 2025 stands at $230,606,350.
